The name Crile is a lunar impact crater, and its location is between Mare Crisum, the lake of unrest, and Mare Tranquillliatis - the lake of calm. For me it is a good creative space

The association Crile was founded in 2012 following the meeting of Lorena Dozio (dancer-choreographer), Carlo Ciceri (composer) and Daniel Zea (composer) at the Abbaye de Royaumont with the intention of creating choreographic projects in close connection with sound and contemporary music through a bridge across the Alpine area between Lugano, French Switzerland, France and its capital.
In memory of Carlo Ciceri (1980- 2022) After almost 10 years of collaboration and creation within Crile, as well as his important presence at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, Carlo Ciceri unfortunately left too early. With great gratitude and admiration for his being and his works, we continue to pay tribute to him through Crile.

The residency at LuganoInScena - LAC from 2016 - 2019 promoted by Pro Helvetia within the framework of YAA! (Young Associated Artist) allowed CRILE to structure itself on the territory of Ticino and to develop more relations with the rest of Switzerland and internationally.
